This morning the media reportled murder was down, robbery was down, in fact all sorts of bad things were down, and so too, according to our records, are deaths within the class of 1939. None to report last month, and ditto for this month also.
Out culture is changing. Used to be we got a job, and then looked for some place to live in the vicinity. No longer. Our granddaughter setded in Cambridge, just off Harvard Square. And then looked for and found a job. So too did Ted Wolfe's son, Damon, who moved his family to Vero Beach, and then set about looking for work. This gave Ted a reason for visiting the east coast of Florida, and provided a splendid reason for us to break some bread together. Betty was not able to be with him, having some physical problems, and remaining in Spring Hill, Fla.

Talking about the state of Washington, Dick Woodward just moved four blocks east to the shores of Lake Washington. Lucky fellow is surrounded by daughters, one family living three blocks away, one in the suburbs of Seattle and one 10 miles east, where she has captured the real-estate market.

The Beta Theta Pi Magazine, listing of the top Beta Sportsmen of the Century includes A.R. "Bud" Little, a member of the skiing Hall of Fame.
In closing, we had a brief note from MikeEllis in which he says, "Please figure out a way for us to win at least one more football game this year." We did. We beat Princeton.
