Dave Hodgson wrote: "I'm just trying to keep up with the wild and woolly world of venture investing, Internet style. We put about $600 million to work last year and still feel like we're barely scratching the surface. I've enjoyed going on Jeff Crowe recently merged with Edify and I came to via an investment in Belgium. Small world. My oldest son just turned 12 and I'm starting to watch the Propecia ads with more interest N.Y.C. has been a blast—-never thought I'd raise a family in the city, but now everybody seems to be doing it. I'm involved with research into therapies for autism at Johns Hopkins. No miracles, but plenty of small successes along the way. Looking forward to our next reunion fix (2003?)."

By the time you read this, Don Ankeny will have left the world of investment banking to launch an Internet startup. Don would have given me more details, but said he would have to shoot me if he did. He added that he and his wife, Joy, have lived in the San Francisco Bay area for almost six years. They have four daughters—two teenagers and 3-year-old twins.

Celia Chen sent news: "We have had our first big snowfall of the season up here. It has been a long wait! My 9-year-old daughter Jane and I are looking forward to getting out and doing some skiing finally. I am working as a research scientist in the biology department. I do research on chemical contaminants in freshwater systems (lakes and ponds). I also occasionally teach ecology courses here and in the Caribbean. I much prefer the latter"!

Anne Bagamery is still at the International Herald Tribune as an editor in the finance section. "I am happy in my work and happy in Paris. My daughter Caitlin is 8 and she's a delight. Anyone coming over this way should definitely get in touch." An eagle eye (not mine) spotted AndyPeterson in the January 24 issue of Newsweek. It appears that Andy was closely inspecting potatoes at a fund-raiser for George W. Bush (at least it wasn't broccoli!).

That's all for this month.
