Well, for the first time since taking on my role as class secretary I am at a loss for news, if not words. No news is no news. Please take a moment to send me a few words about friends, family, work, play. In the meantime, check out our class Web page. Owen Astrachan has continued to update it. All it needs is some additional input from the class. The class forum is a good way to stay in touch, as well: www.alum.dartmouth.org/~classtlk/.

This issue focused on special places at Dartmouth prompted me to recall mine. Living on the West Coast limits my time in Hanover, but only in the physical sense. Sanborn House, Lord Hall, the Tower Room, the Hop, the back road to Ledyard Dock: I have traveled around the campus on a mental tour of the College in an effort to isolate a single favorite place. In the end, it was impossible. Gerry Hall notwithstanding, there is hardly any place at the College that does not evoke (mostly) wonderful memories. For me, Dartmouth is much more than the sum of its parts. From Occom Pond to the Green and beyond, Dartmouth will remain forever "miraculously builded in [my] heart."
