I think honeymoons are a great reason to get married. LauraFriedman Klein and husband Sean Klein spent time in Maui after their Cleveland, Ohio, nuptials last August. Zia Daniell Wigder was Laura's Ketubah witness (Ketubah is a Jewish wedding contract) and Anda Kuo served as maid of honor. Other '91s in attendance were LauraDonohue, Judy Moon, Jon Peterson, KarenCramer Peterson, George Price and EdEvans. Laura is a litigator with the Federal Election Commission, handling campaign finance issues, while Sean is also an attorney in Washington. Laura tells me that Anda was recendy selected to be a chief resident in her pediatrics residency program at the University of California San Francisco.
Stephanie Crowley is also in San Francisco, working for Carla Befera & Co. and handling public relations for theater. In a funny e-mail she notes that she is slowly working her way through the cast of All inthe Family. Two years ago she worked with Carroll O'Connor on a stage show he wrote and starred in. Then she worked with Sally Struthers in a production of Annie. Most recently she handled Jean Stapleton, on stage playing Eleanor Roosevelt. "If anyone sees Rob Reiner, tell him we've got the press releases warmed up and ready."
According to a clip from a Rhode Island newspaper, Lisa Roth Blackman was appointed the director of development and communications for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. She was promoted from her position as grant writer and press coordinator. She and her husband, CharlesBlackman, live in Pawtucket. Michael Yu reports that he has happily settled into married life with his wife, Cynthia. They live in St. Louis, where Mike is in his fifth year (of six) of his urologic surgery residency. Now, he's considering farther training in the subsubspecialty of pediatric urology.
In baby land, Thomas Lee shares that he and his wife, Lee Chiu '90, are thrilled to announce the February birth of their son Andrew Thomas. Their latest arrival joins precocious, older sister Christina in Providence, R.I., where Tom is in a fellow- ship in maternal-fetal medicine, which is a subspecialty of ob/gyn, focusing on high-risk pregnancies and prenatal diagnosis.
Daniel Winters wrote in to report that Brandon Vesely and his wife, Shirin, recently celebrated the birth of their daughter Mariah in March. Brandon works at the law firm of Keene, Reese & Vesely in St. Petersburg, Fla. Daniel, dad to a 2-year-old little boy, is an associate at the law firm of Porzio, Bromberg & Newman in Morristown, N.J. He's specializing in mass tort and environmental litigation.
