Much-needed rain is falling in the Upper Valley as I write this at the end of August. Mostly a beautiful summer punctuated by real heat waves (100 degrees in New Hampshire!).

Wally Ford writes that he continues to work in the field of international corporate law. He has been to Uganda and the United Kingdom this summer, following trips to Jamaica, Trinidad and Haiti earlier in the year. He has also been writing commentaries for Turning Point magazine (due to be distributed nationally in 2001), and in January assumed a position as adjunct professor in the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia. He has also begun serving as a member of the board of advisors at Columbia's Center for Jazz Studies. And in Wally's own words, "most importantly, Wallace 111 (41/2 years old) completed YMCA summer camp and will be attending preschool in the fall."

Stu Zuckerman and family traveled to Europe this summer with a stop in Paris, including avisit to the Rodin Museum. He says that the highlight of the trip was four days in Stresa on Lake Maggiore in northern Italy. He hopes to make it to Hanover for the fall DCR overseers meeting, if a PBS convention does not conflict. In August Stu and Carol took daughter Kate to St. Louis to begin her first year at Washington U. Stu reports that the campus is beautiful and makes him "want to do college all over again."

Dave Graves assumed responsibility for Yahoo! Finance in addition to Yahoo! Travel and Yahoo! Media. Media includes properties such as news, sports, health and education. Just launched in August is Yahoo! Classroom, a service that helps high school teachers and college professors communicate with their students and organize course materials. He divides his time between his home base Boston and Sunnyvale, New York.

Tom Peisch and son Philip '04 enjoyed re-living the first-year Hanover experience. He chatted with Bruce Blumberg (also a P'04) at Parents' Weekend, but missed Joe Adams and Bill Badger.

Dennis Jolicoeur took time to fill out an electronic Green Card (hint!) to let us know that he had just celebrated the one-year anniversary with his wife, Mirella. She is Romanian, and professionally "a whiz with computers." Dennis is currently CFO of Natrol, a Nasdaq-traded vitamin company. He invites any classmates finding themselves lost in LA to give him a call at (818) 739-6000.

In any event, sign up for the class listserv; visit the class Web page; fill out an electronic Green Card and let Jon, me and the rest of your friends and classmates know how you're doing!
