In case you missed The NewYork Times editorial praising the wisdom and sagacity of the selections, Jon Oplinger and ScottHolland are now sharing the office of class secretary. You can contact us by e-mail at hollansx @hotmail.com or jonoplinger@yahoo.com or at the respective USPS addresses below.

Bill Koenig has been named president and CEO of CantaMetrix, a "business-to-business technology company providing solutions, infrastructure and a global clearinghouse for the music industry." The company's co-founder characterized Bill as the "ideal person to lead Canta Metrix forward."

Chris Yule writes: "John Valley was right—I am completing construction of an Exec 162 F helicopter. It's a great catharsis after six years building my (small) real estate development and management company. We rehab distressed properties, focusing on energy conservation. I intend to fly to visit my kids at school and camp, since driving has become such a pain around here." He goes on to report that daughter Michaela is in middle school and son Alex headed off for Exeter. He asks if anyone hears from Joe-Bob Ferguson.

As those of you on the class listserv (more to come on that in future communications) already know, Lee Chaffee and wife Smadar and son Ben visited John Chamberlin last November. While Lee attended the VA State High School cross-country championships, John, Smadar and Jim took in the National Building Museum's "Build-A-Thon."

Sadly, we have been informed of two deaths among our classmates: Thomas William Wood and Robert James Scheff. Our condolences to both families.

Finally, it's been said many times before, but more classmates than you might think are interested in what you are doing. The only way for them to find out is if you send news to your secretaries. In that spirit, I propose that you take a minute and send one of us the names of no more than three classmates that you have lost touch with that you would like to hear news of. We'll publish them in hopes that those folks would send news for this column and future newsletters. I'll start: Carl Strathmeyer, Hill Anderson, John Sadd, how doin'? Jon adds Ted Hirokawa and Ken Chernoff as the classmates he would like to hear from.
