On September 1 the regular monthly luncheon of the Phoenix Club was held at Arizona Manor, corner Camelback and 24th Street.
Messrs. Gilmore and Loughry not only are classmates in the distinguished '34 vintage, but each has a daughter presently in New York City competing in the Olympic swimming try-outs. Dick Loughry's daughter is a diver and Bill Gilmore's daughter is a back-stroke expert. The Class of '34 indeed may be proud of these two "daughters" and we all wish them well in their current endeavors.
Several of the men have just returned from vacation trips to other parts of the country and there was a lively discussion of political sentiments regarding the November election on the reports they brought back and shared with the group.
All alumni please note and remember that these luncheons are held at this same address and same hour on the first Tuesday of each month. We welcome visiting brethren whenever they are able to join us!
