Babies, babies all around the girdled earth! Laura Friedman Klein and husband Sean announced the birth of their first child, Nathaniel Adam, who arrived on November 12. They're in Silver Spring, Maryland, and Laura is a senior counsel at the Department of Justice in the office of legal policy. Kim Goodman Genzer let me know that she and husband Scott celebrated the birth of their first child, Sarah Marie, born in Warsaw, Poland, where Scott is teaching math at the American School of Warsaw. All four grandparents (including Dennis Goodman '60) were in Warsaw when their granddaughter was born on September 4. Kathy Flynn Lawson gave birth to her third little boy on June 18. Alex William joins Mark, 6, and Brian, 3. She and husband David Lawson '90 celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in August. The brood lives in Reston, Virginia, where David works for the law firm Cooley Godward.

Paul Roberts married Carmen Presinal in Manhattan on August 3. Paul has spent the last six years at Skadden Arps, after graduating from the Northeastern University School of Law in 1996. Carmen is a graduate of Hunter College and Cardozo School of Law. She works for New York City's Administration for Children's Services.

Hillary Harris checked in with fascinating details of the work she does with Soul Purpose, a business she started four years ago that enables her to be a "prosperity coach and intuitive strategist" over the phone with clients nationwide and in Canada. Clients retain her on a monthly basis to support them in'reaching goals and finding purpose, all the while creating more peace and prosperity along the way. She also teaches seminars/workshops for the general public, in addition to presenting topics at conferences, organizations and for companies. She created one seminar called "Living from the Heart in response to the events of September 11. Held in her hometown of Quincy, Massachusetts, the seminar, Hillary says, helped people "ease into our new world and help them begin to make sense of their emotions and continue to create their lives beyond the fear." For more information about Hillary's coaching work, you can e-mail her at hillarynal@gis.net. (She offers complimentary introductory sessions by phone!)

According to the Cambridge Chronicle, Mel Robbins is now the director of business development at Philip Johnson Associates, an advertising and marketing firm. Prior to working for Philip Johnson, Mel was senior vice president of interactive strategies at Bullhorn in Boston, and was also vice president of business development for eMode in San Francisco. Mel, who lives in Sherborn, Massachusetts, has a law degree from Boston College.

Of course, my column would not be complete without a plug for reunion—keep your eye out for registration information that should be landing in your mailbox in the coming weeks. And here are a few words from our reunion chair, Carrie Heinonen: "I don't know about you, but that awesome word-magnet thing is getting me pretty psyched for reunion. I'm beginning to reincorporate that long-lost vocabulary back into my everyday speech—referring to Chicago's Grant Park as the Bema; telling those who live too far away to visit that they live in the River; calling the new associates 'shmen (so unPC, I know). June 14 can't come soon enough! Meet you at 5:30 in the class tent for a bevie, okay?"
