From Bob Malin '53 comes this report on Charles "Cap" Palmer: He celebrated his 100 th birthday with more than 60 family members and friends on August 29 in a beautiful park overlooking the San Francisco Bay near the Belvedere home of his daughter, Gay, and son-in-law, Tony Frank Tu's4. The festivities were augmented by many Dartmouth messages, including those from President Wright and Tuck dean Paul Danos. A spirited Dixieland band played throughout, featuring the old favorites of the '20s, when Cap played the trombone on weekends in New York."
