My pleas fornews finally resonated with some of you so in this issue, I have boatloads to report!

John Strayer recently graduated from Georgetown University Law Center this past May. John was selected by his peers to speak at the ceremony, sharing billing with Rudolph Giuliani. John plans to take the Maryland Bar exam in July and hopes to become a public defender in the Washington, D.C., area afterwards. John spends a fair amount of time with Mike Beckley and Marc Wilson. "They are both doing quite well. Check out the company they founded (with a '94 and a Penn grad) at www.appiancorp.com. Apparently, the business model of hiring Dartmouth grads right out of school and teaching them to do a better job than all the big consulting firms is a recipe for success."

Sara Paisner is currently a post-doc and just submitted a patent on her research at the University of North Carolina. It's hervery first patent, probably one of many to come, as she's making cool new materials for use in the next generation of microchips. Sara was off to Bermuda this past June for the wedding of Eliza Barry and Andrew Riker '97. Sara was the maid of honor and Beth Bloodgood was a bridesmaid. Many '96s were there, including Andrew Friedman, Derek Shendell and Neesha Ramchandani. Apparently most of the guests will gather again for Beths wedding in November. And perhaps next summer for Derek's wedding.

Sara also participated in the 100K Wine Country Century bike ride with Shervyn Von Hoerl in northern California in May. By chance she bumped into Lauren Currie, who also wrote in. Lauren tells me that she and husband, Will Up-pington, are leaving San Francisco after five years. The couple is moving back to the East Coast, where both of them will start Harvard B-School in August. She writes, "We are looking forward to re-connecting with our roots, but a little sad to leave the left coast."

Leaving the Harvard campus is Holly Parker, who recently graduated with a M.Ed, with fellow classmate, Anna Kontos. Holly will return to the Brooks School in Massachusetts in the fall, her fifth year on the faculty. "Working in a boarding school is a bit like being in the service as it is a 24/7 job for nine months of the year. However, three blissful months of summer have begun and I will be writing for some boating magazines and sailing/Kayaking/fishing my way through New England until school begins."

Holly also wrote in with other '96 news. "Hannah (Mertaugh) Jensen is living large in Quechee and working at CRKEL in Hanover. She recently attended the wedding of Heather Miles and Jason Brady, and saw Lara Burgel. I also recently had lunch at EBA's with Hannah and Matt Garabedian. Matt was home in Montpelier, on break from med school at Texas A&M. We dined on chicken sandwiches and strolled through Mid Mass, where we spent our freshman year. Bruce Turpie, another Mid Mass second-floor alum, was recently spotted in Cambridge. He is living in All ston, a stone's throw from the Sunset Grille, home of a thousand microbrews, all of which Bruce has sampled, according to local lore. I recently received a postcard from Bora Bora from Daniel Flax, after visiting him in London last year. My collection of postcards from Daniel ranges from Thailand to Prague, from Iceland to Kenya. Needless to say, I live vicariously through Daniel."

Well, it sure makes my job easier when you guys write in. Keep it coming!
