Did everyone have a good time at reunion? I hope all of you did. Thanks to Leslie Jennings and the reunion committee. They did an awesome job organizing the shindig.

Much news this month as I missed the last issues (apologies to all). First off, wedding news. A few '96s were missing in action at reunion because they were in Avon, Connecticut, celebrating the wedding of Jason Ferries to Kirsten Knudsen. It was a Dartmouth reunion of sorts with Jason's twin brother Alex Ferries (best man), their dad, John Ferries '59, Malik Kelly (groomsman), Mike Taylor, Eric Hwang, Hae Seon Song 98, Kathryn Chiong '94, Tom Salopek '94 and myself, in attendance.

Akiko Ohnuma wrote in to report another summer wedding. Stacey Serrano got married this past August 4 to her high school sweetheart, Paul Sarlo, in Connecticut. Akiko and Ping-Ann Addo were bridesmaids. Ping is currently in Tonga studying anthropology at Yale and Akiko is starting her first year of B school at NYU s Stern.

Elizabeth Harrold also wrote in to report that Wendy Witten, married Andrew Tannenbaum '97 this past April. Elizabeth wrote, "It was a beautiful wedding in Georgetown overlooking the Potomac River at sunset. The bridesmaids included me, Sara Ogdon and Kristin Johnson. Also in attendance were Maggie Marshall, Allison Stedman, Burns McKinney, Caleb Moore and lots of '97 guys. Andrew and Wendy are now living in New York City, both busy attorneys. Sara Ogdon, who just graduated from Columbia Medical School, also recently got married this past February in Coral Gables, Florida, to Andy Weiss, and they are moving to Denver to start their residencies in internal medicine at the University of Colorado." As for Elizabeth herself, she is starting her second year of her internal medicine residency at Columbia, after graduating from Yale Medical School last year.

Brendan Doherty got engaged! He writes,"In April I proposed to Robyn Altman, a Brown '97, in Bath, England." Brendan and Robyn recently- moved to the left coast where Brendan has just started graduate studies in political science at Berkeley. Another left coaster, Ann Philippon, is looking for alumni support for a charity event in which she participated in August—the Alaska AIDS Vaccine Ride 2001. With more than 2,000 other riders she hiked 500 miles in six days (from Fairbanks to Anchorage) to benefit AIDS vaccine research. Along with her good friend and roommate, she committed to this event a few months ago, was frantically training and is continuing to fundraise. The money she's raising helps to fund three vaccine research teams: the UCLAAIDS Institute, the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center and the Emory Vaccine Center. If you can contribute in ANY way or if you just want to learn more about the Alaska ride, please visit Anns team Web site ( www.tsunamidigital.com/la2alaska/ ) or contact her directly (ann.philippon@quisic.com).
