Sumner "Sub" and Marion Harris moved to assisted living in Nashua Crossing, Apt. 122, 674 W. Hollis St., Nashua, NH 03062; (603) 598-0334. Marions daughter and son "have been persistent to move near us."

For Boyce and Betty Price, "Kendal has kept Betty and me going" in Hanover. Russ Capelle, Northfield, Vermont, keeps going despite "some small mortar fragments in my knees from WW II. He's "hoping" for our 70th in 2006! Phyllis (Mrs. Cliff) England wrote of Len Mead's death in October. I've had no word from Hanover. Cliff and Len were psych majors, and closest friends.

Dr. Russell Page died in October in Hyde Park, Vermont, per his son, "the town he grew up in." Harry Hughes died in June. No report from Hanover on either. Sassie (Paul Hessler's widow) Geisel wrote (I send her clips on Outdoor Advertising, Paul's work): "We still go to Germany every year and enjoy it." Bob Pumphrey in Nevada, after knee surgery, is traveling again. We had lunch with Don Aitken in June 2001. Bob is pushing for dinner.

President Bill Niss had four generations for Thanksgiving, daughter Sarah, her daughter Tammy and granddaughter Ashley, all from Blue Hill, Mississippi. They set up Bill's Christmas tree early.

Morrie Stein worries, but with "greetings to all our classmates, particularly our fine and dedicated widows," that we'll not carry into 2003 the Colleges need to be remembered in our giving, with sharp cutbacks by charities and budget-cutting, as with swimming.

Long looking-back letters from Dick Wakefield, who is living in the same Ida Culver Home in Seattle as Shirley (Mrs. David) Fox, and from Jack Davis, reminiscing about 1930s Milwaukee by Herm Nunnemacher. I sent him a copy. Bob Button and his 17-piece dancing-swing band help keep alive 1930s-'40s music, such as "Stardust" and Guy Lombardo's "NewYear's Eves." Bob and Decima direct Playmakers on Wheels.

This is my last DAM column because of growing physical disabilities. Bob is my expected successor with my grateful thanks. This is not a goodbye. Ilona and I have hopes and plans, will have had Christmas with our families and greatgrandson Leo in Vancouver, with hopes and plans already for 2003!
