Since our last we have lost Joe Mason (September 16), Steve Bradley (November 13), Larry Gilbert (November 14) and Chick Spiltoir (November 17). It has not been a good period for '39 spouses either. Bunny Webster, widow of Bill, died December 5 at Essex Meadows, Essex, Connecticut.; Miggs Durrance, wife of Dick, died in November; and Jeanne MacGilpin, wife of Harold, died in September. We also learned that Dotty Conkle (widow of Henry) had two hip replacements (on the same leg) after a tumble in Florida. She now lives in Deerfield, a retirement home in Asheville, North Carolina.

Speaking of spouses, we have heard from Nancy Shrodes (widow of Wayne) telling us how she has enjoyed reading 39 Out over the years. We received another note from Elaine Stine, widow of Herb, expressing her delight in both 39 Out and the Alumni Magazine. Because of the recent increase in the magazine subscription rate, she kindly offered to have her name crossed off our list. She says she could get the magazine from her daughter '76, who lives down the street from her, and could extract a copy of Out from her brother, Ed Hammel, via mail from his residence in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The matter was passed on to Treasurer Kaiser, for consideration. We had a nice note from Bozo Noland a few weeks back. He reports keeping everlastingly at it, going to the office five days a week despite some health problems.

We've also had some correspondence with Dick Baldauf, who informed us of the passing of his roomy, Chick Spiltoir. In the course of the letter I discovered that his daughter lives in the same town as I. Small world!

Which brings us to mention the move by the George Neileys from Rock Island, Illinois, to Shelburne #309,185 Pine Haven Shore Road, Shelburne, VT 05482.
