Sorry class...mostofmynotes are locked up in the VCU English department-because of budget cuts our building was completely shut down for the holidays (I realize this sounds like the dog ate my homework, and as a teacher I would be appalled by this lame excuse). I do have some notes from Ernie Torrain, who spent an afternoon watching Dartmouth vs. Columbia in NYC and reported a lot of "fatherson bonding." He reports: "I was in New York on business recently and managed to catch the Dartmouth vs. Columbia football game. I ran into Nigel Ekern and his son,Tighe, who had driven in from Connecticut with Chris Matonis and his son, Spencer—also saw Ed Boyle and his son, Jeikson. I spent most of the day hanging out with Rick Pepperman, who was joined at halftime by his wife, Elizabeth, and their daughter, Kate." Ernie also saw ClaireKileen, who just shifted from West Coast (San Francisco) to East (NYC). And like a true green fan, Ernie also went to Homecoming the following week with his wife, Karin (but without sons Trey and Ethan). There he saw the entire Ekern family (Nigel, Kim, Tighe and Skye) and the entire Boyle family (Ed, Cameron, Giovanna and Jeikson).
That's all this month....
