First this month, a word from our reunion chairs, Jess Ellsworth and Wendy Simon: "Reunion time is drawing closer! Don't miss out on this opportunity to catch up with old friends and visit dear old Dartmouth with all of its exciting changes. Online registration should be up and running, along with an updated schedule and lists of people attending at www.dartmouth.org/classes/98/reunion/index.html. Sign up today! As an incentive, there are discounts for early registration. We can't wait to welcome you home June 13-15,2003!"
Many classmates are out of law school and onto the clerkship circuit or at corporate firms. One of them, Adam Siegel, was recently selected for a position in the Attorney General's Honors Program at the U.S. Department of Justice. Adam is presently finishing the second year of a two year clerkship with U.S. District Judge Patricia A. Seitz in Miami, Florida, and will begin work in the DOJ's environment and natural resources division next fall in Washington, D.C.
On a personal note, I just got an e-mail about an engagement that means a great deal since I was there at the inception when my one-room double turned into a one-room triple. My freshman year roommate, Chrissa DuRocher just got engaged to that guy upstairs in the Choates, Justin Carrino. She wrote during December to say, "None of you can really be surprised when I write to say that yes, the rumors are true: Justin Carrino and I are engaged. Yes, I know. Some might say that we are rushing things, but we've just decided to ignore the naysayers and get hitched. Don't worry, though, we refuse to hurry anything, we won't be doing this until spring 2004." After living in Norwich and then Los Angeles (with a trip to Peru in between for Chrissa), "we moved to Chicago a year ago so that I could attend the University of Chicago (and so that Justin would stop saying 'I want to move to Chicago'). I finished up a master's and I now work at the campus art museum, the Smart Museum of Art. Justin is taking classes at Northwestern, finishing up work in the creative writing program. So, if anyone is ever in Chicago, please give us a ring, and maybe I can show you mine."
Paucity of news lately. Please send in news of yourself or others to me at my alum account or post a card to me at 3722 T St. NW, Washington, DC 20007. Happy New Year.
