Reunion looms June 13 to 15. Want to see who will be there? Check out who's coming at www.dartmouth.org/classes/ 98/reunion/index.html. By reunion day, several attendees will be bringing their new spouses. I mentioned Maya Lodish and Jay Zimmerman as well as Colleen O'Connor and her fiancee, Kevin, in previous columns. John Maldonado will also be a newlywed. He writes: "I'm engaged to to Shana Stevens '99. We're in fifth gear getting ready for the wedding in May. Brian Wachob and Spiros Maliagros are in the throes of planning the bachelor party as we speak." John is at-HBS with several fellow '98s including Suzanne Michels, Marni Fox and Dan Thibeault, who are all fellow first years. Plus he's been hanging out with Dave Ellingrud, who's finishingup his second year, and Pankaj Gupta, who's wife is a classmate of John's.

Another second-year student at HBS, Mariam Malik, married a fellow HBSer, Zaid Alsikafi. Vanessa Pierce, Heather Lew, Ashish Kapoor '97, Samina Karim, Nicole Ostrowski, Ruchi Kaul '99 among others shared the reception with her. Since the reception was the night of the blizzard that blanketed the East Coast, those of us trying to come up from D.C. were snowbound.

Not deterred by recent record-breaking snowfall, Kathryn Balink is moving to D.C. after a few years in Nashville. She's taking a job with The Teaching Cos., a business that produces noncredit audio and video courses for lifelong learners. Kathryn clarifies that "Professor Saccio, for example, has a couple of Shakespeare courses with them. I'm the new assistant director of recruiting, so I'll be traveling to college campuses across the country to track down the best lecturers."

Anna Moran recently got engaged to Eric Anderson '99 and they are planning on a summer 2004 wedding after Anna graduates from med school at UC Irvine and Eric finishes up with business school at USC. She mentioned: "I flew to Chicago overwinter break for a mini-reunion with five of the seven Crackhouse girls, Lara Hoffman, Stacey Sheriff, Kristin Dwyer and Lee Kuhn at Lara's house in Lake Forest. It was so great to see everyone, even if only for a few days! Lara is in graduate school at UPenn studying international relations and public policy. Kristin is working at Healthadvances in Wellesley, Massachusetts, and planning on applying to medical school next year. Stace is studying (and teaching!) English lit at Penn State, and Lees an attorney at Paul Hastings in San Francisco. After cold Chicago, I headed down to the Cayman Islands with Ali Vaughan (who's running a non-profit tutoring organization in Cambridge, Massachusetts). We happened to run into Ali's old college roommate, Wendy Fleske, who was there with her boyfriend at the same time! Small world."

See you at Dartmouth.
