Big Picture: Modern Movement

An unprecedented dance summit took place on campus in early January when three internationally renowned companies, all with Dartmouth connections, performed together for the first time. Artistic directors (from left) Moses Pendleton '71 (Momix), Michael Tracy '73 and Robby Barnett '72 (Pilobolus) and Jamey Hampton '76 (BodyVox) took to the Moore Theater stage with some of their dancers for this photo while in town to perform as part of the Hops 40th anniversary celebration. Momix and BodyVox are the choreographic offspring of Pilobolus, which originated in a Dartmouth dance class 32 years ago.
