Plans for our 68th reunion in Hanover on September 30 and October 1 are going ahead as usual, with the hope that president Stan Berenson can join us and resume his place at the rostrum. Will and Natale Brown respond to phone calls with their usual enthusiasm, so we are counting on them to attend and participate.
Our Dr. "Chick" Koop is phoning from Hanover in support of the reunion, and we are counting upon him to say more words of wisdom, even if he has to sit down as he did for the 2004 presentation. The whole country reveres him for his successful fight against smoking, and now folks are waking up to his warnings about a virulent strain of HIV.
President Wright made a very successful visit to my fair city this spring. We can cite immediate results: Four of our finest young people have been accepted for the class of 2009.
Our Alumni Fund letter from Stan and Mary Fenn went out this spring. We want to get the total revenue and the percent of participation up before the end of the campaign on June 30. Contributions go to 6066 Development Office, Hanover, NH 03755-3555.
Sue Young now handles outclass finances in Hanover and Ms. Belknap reports on 1937 scholarships We are inviting both to our October 1 dinner. Charlie Blaisdell has agreed to serve as acting treasurer for our 68 th reunion in Hanover this fall. Details later.
