Congratulations to Al and Joan Bildner who received the Social Justice Award from the College on January 24 in conjunction with Martin Luther King tributes. Bob Dorion, now living in Guatemala City, Guatemala, is thanked by the Florida Museum of Natural History for an endowment set up in 1993 in honor of Stewart Springer, a renowned student of elasmobranch biology. Hal Johnston sent along a clipping with a picture of a dinner for the Dartmouth Club of Tokyo in January of 1952. He was stationed at the Ataugi Naval Air Station while rebuilding the former naval air base for United States use. Frank Weber, head agent for our class, continues to play golf whenever the weather cooperates, which explains his ability to find lost golf balls. He is active in the Marine Corps League in Connecticut, is involved with their annual Toys for Tots campaign and volunteers as a driver for the Volunteer Nurses Association. Keep up the good work! President John Trethaway was off on a trip to Europe to ski in February. He has been trying to arrange a meeting for the class officers, quite possibly in April or May. As yet another reminder, the fall mini-reunion is scheduled for October 24-25 in conjunction with Dartmouth Night and the Columbia football game.
The sympathy of the class is extended to the families of John Davis, who died on February 15, 1996, and Alfred Gray, who died on January 1,1988.
