With sadness we report the death of our vice president and chair of memorial gifts, Irja Wilson, wife of our classmate Bill. One would never know that she had a terminal disease —she never complained, and what a fine lady she was! Her loss will be sorely felt by our class and her other friends. Her place will be taken by another fine lady—Mary Engleman, widow of our classmate Bob.
And speaking of Irja, she and Bill were proud grandparents of a great-grandson last October and Len and Jean Harrison were very proud of their first great-grandchild (a young lady) last August.
Hope most of you will attend our next minireunion, September 19 and 20, the weekend of our first football game against Colgate—it should be a good game. As we have been doing, Friday and Saturday night dinners will be at the Hanover Inn, with our class meeting and brunch probably Saturday morning in the Smoyer Lounge.
It looks like our mini-reunion in 2004 will be canceled, as the College has decided that classes celebrating their 65th, 70th and 75th reunions will meet September 24 and 25, the weekend of the University of New Hampshire game. More on this later as Em Day is attending a meeting on May 3 to discuss this and other matters.
With sadness we report the deaths of Hinton Clabaugh, Sam Fishman, John Hallenbeck, David Hawes and Edward Kaiser. Our sincerest sympathy to their families.
