A rather old note from Ed Klee (Oct. 14,1998) advising that his travel days are over although his wife still has the urge. His ambulating has been so severely impacted that he doesn't try walking for exercise and has been resisting the move to a walker. He gave up driving about IS years ago but his old Mercedes just passed its 24th birthday. Keep plugging, Ed, we're not all too far behind you.

The fourth gathering of the Wearers of the Green took place on May 7 at the Westin Hotel in Boston. More than 80 alumni and undergraduates have become eligible for induction since the previous dinner in 1994. The dinner honors Dartmouth's own who have excelled in Ivy League athletics or as Olympians, Ail-Americans, world and national champions, members of halls of fame, or major league professionals. There were three honorary wearers and one was our own Stan Smoyer. Harry and Pru Gilmore had every intention of attending our 65 th Reunion but Pru became ill and their plans had to change. We hope nothing serious and that she soon will be as good as ever. Gerry Scherman has moved—just a stone's throw from Hanover. She is at 19 Pinewood Village, West Lebanon, NH 07384. Best of happiness to you, Gerry, in your new home. And, speaking of Gerry Scherman—she is in charge of our minireunion Sept. 24 and 25, and dinners both nights will be in the Hanover Inn.
Many thanks to you folks who phoned or wrote us about Nina, who was unable to attend our 65th due to a hospital stay. She has recuperated nicely and is as good as ever. Daughter Fran Dowling took her place and enjoyed herself immensely. It is with sadness that we report the deaths of Henry Allen,Charles Armes, and Chester Birch. Our sincerest sympathy to their families.
