As I write this column (April 15), I realize that the following comments on our 60 th reunion will be old hat by the time you read them. However, as of mid-April I am impressed at the response Bob Field and kin have elicited from our aging troops—some 111 classmates and spouses saying "yes" and another 50, "maybe." The program of activities is a full one and the challenge will be to keep it all straight in our forgetful human computers! While on the subject of reunions, there will be no Cape Cod mini this June for obvious reasons but the Field family will manage the usual fall affair in Hanover the weekend of October 3-5, the football opponent being Penn. A recent e-mail from Fritz Geller commented on a memorial service for Bud Wiggin held in Hollis, New Hampshire, in early April which he unfortunately was unable to attend. Bing and Anne Donaldson decided winter on Cape Cod was not so great this year so they traipsed off to Anguilla for a week in mid-March to bask in the Carribbean sun. Louise and I finally found time for a honeymoon —a year late—and traveled to Italy in mid March for two weeks of perfect weather, gorgeous scenery and minimal crowds, the latter thanks to the hostilities in Iraq. We encountered one mild anti-war demonstration in Sorrento. Seeing Italian topography up close I can better appreciate the difficulties WWII U.S.ski troops encountered- are you listening, Bob Krumm? Keeping you apprised of classmate deaths remains a challenge, as College records on our class are not always reliable and certainly not very timely. Two recent deaths are the aforementioned Blanton "Bud" Wiggin and Robert E. Williams. The records of Ray Wolfe and Earl Harris, who passed away one and two years ago, were only mailed to me recently. My apologies to their families for this tardy ac- knowledgement. Our condolences to all four families. Stay well!
