Well, we're just back from reunion on the lovely Hanover Plain. Actually it rained off and on for the entire time until Sunday morning, when we had enough time to eat brunch and say our farewells. Reunion itself was a success. With most of the major events being pushed indoors, there was plenty of time to talk (or drink), catch up with old friends and renew old acquaintances.

We hear a few hardy souls woke up at 7 a.m. Saturday to play in the golf tournament but they must have played for the love of the game because no one who was that dedicated (or crazy) announced their victory at our class dinner. Jane Blansfield Finch did report to the class on the special gift our class gave to the Tucker Foundation to support their mentoring program that serves families in the Upper Valley region, inspiring children who have no hope of attending college and working with them to show them that this is a dream that they too can have for themselves. Jan Tarjan from the Tucker Foundation spoke and gave us a clear and stirring picture of the work this program does and the difference it makes to the families and students who participate.

The highlight of the event was certainly the Saturday night performance by the Esoterix. Bill Barry, Hank Erbe, Joe Holland, Warner Ide and John Kim deserve special acclaim for not only a rejuvenating performance but also their sacrifice of time and effort taken from the reunion to practice and give us all their best.

Another pack of wild men and women enjoyed a 10K run Sunday morning, and the Rev. Lucia Jackson performed a memorial service to commemorate those who are no longer with us. Special thanks to Molly Wender, Steve Day, Marianne McCarroll, Jane Blansfield Finch, John Gilstrap, Doug Kingsley and Geoff Berlin, who put in the effort and hours to organize and execute this reunion!

Karin Finkelstein got the coveted Girdled Earth Award for traveling in from Beijing for the reunion (yes, that's Beijing, China). Those of you who couldn't make it were sorely missed and we hope that everyone will begin planning now so that we can see as many of us at our 25 th as humanly possible.

Out With the Old: We extend our heartfelt thanks to the men and women who have been serving the great class of '84 so faithfully for the last five years as class officers. Molly Wender, president, co-secretary and reunion chairwoman; Marianne McCarroll, vice president; Kathy Krause, co-secretary; Allen Waxman then Leslie Greenwald, treasurer; Doug Kingsley, head agent; Leigh M. Garry; class newsletter editor; John Pryor, Webmaster and mini-reunion chairman. On the behalf of the entire class, thank you for shouldering the responsibility of keeping the "behind the scene" machinery running while the rest of us enjoyed the fruits of your labor.

In With The New: Welcome to the incoming class officers. We appreciate your commitment to lead us through the next six years as we head down the long road to our 25th (gasp!) reunion! Robert C. White will be our fearless leader as president. Marianne McCarroll is back for another term at vice president. Mary Fabio and Jim Lawrence will be bringing you this scintillating column as co-secretaries. Doug Kingsley will also be returning to lead us as head agent, and Leslie Greenwald was so pleased to be getting her sea legs under her as treasurer that she's back to master the position. Susan Marie Harrington and Anne Arquit will join Leigh M. Garry, who, it seems, can't get enough of doing our class newsletter. John Wilson and Geoff Berlin will have the next six years to plan an "off the chart" 25th reunion (no pressure) as co-chairs, and Jim Schaeffer will be the mini-reunion chairman, taking care of our interim get-togethers.

If you have any information that you would like to appear in this column, please forward it to us—we will be grateful for the insights and material.
