I am writing this during the Winter Olympics and feel inspired. My daughter just asked to take up ice skating. Who knows, she could be the next Sasha Cohen. Seeing the Winter Olympics does make me reminisce about the cold Dartmouth winters with lots of snow. I can recall my ski lessons on the golf course fondly—calling "Fore!" as I careened down the hills. (Those lessons on the golf course were only for the true beginners, who could not make it at the Skiway.) With all these thoughts, even though I know it will be spring when this is in the Alumni Magazine, I decided to keep with the Winter Olympic theme.

Even though her children ski and are skiing in the New Hampshire state qualifiers, Debbie Logan states that she has no Olympic contenders yet. Debbie, her husband, Mark, and their three children, Emily (10), Ben (8) and Grace (6), live on a farm in Ipswich, Massachusetts. They have quite a menagerie there, Fritz, their Burmese Mountain dog, some horses, chickens and cats. Even with all that Debbie finds time to work three days a week as a management consultant at LEK in Boston. Her husband is working with the Nastar Program at Sunapee. Debbie and her family recently visited fellow '84 Jolie Epstein Kapelus in N.Y.C. Jolie and her husband, Jerome, live in New York City with their three children, Liza, Sidney and Griffin.

Residing in Minnesota—land of cold, snow and ice hockey—is Chuck Chapman. According to Chuck, however, this year has been unseasonably warm and they have not had a lot of snow. Chuck is closer to the Olympics than many of us; his neighbor played on the 1980 gold medal USA hockey team. Chuck is chief operating officer at Dairy Queen. He is enjoying his job and he and the leadership team are working to revitalize the Dairy Queen brand. Chuck and his wife, Lisette, have three daughters, Morgan (10), Eleanor (7) and Quinn (3). They live outside of Minneapolis. Chuck is active in the Dartmouth club there.

Keeping with the "Chapman" theme, Tim Chapman recently joined Steris Corp. as senior vice president of business strategy. He has responsibility for leading Steris' strategic planning, business development and supply-chain management activities. Tim left McKinsey & Co.'s Cleveland office to join Steris Corp. He had been with McKinsey & Cos. for more than 20 years (are we that old?), most recently as director. After graduating with us in 1984 Tim also earned an M.B.A. with distinction from Amos Tuck School. Tim, his wife, Sharon, and daughter Michelle (11) reside in Aurora, Ohio. He is a board member of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio and Kentucky.

Jim Chapman is currently working and residing in Greenwich, Connecticut. He works in the financial field, involved with non-investment grade financing (junk bonds). He and his wife, Pamela, have two children, Tyler (8) and Jesse (6).
