Greetings class of 2000! As the fall approaches, I am happy to report the safe stateside return of Joe Scott. Joe was deployed to Kuwait in February in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and ended up staying for four months and Operation Iraqi Freedom. "My Patriot missile crew and I shot down an inbound Iraqi missile on 20 March, and then we spent the rest of the war guarding assets in northern Kuwait and Iraq. My lovely wife, Emily Copeland '99, held down the fort for me in El Paso, Texas. Now I'm psyched to be back in the good ol' U.S. of A. with her and our dog Penelope. Looking forward to visiting Dartmouth at Homecoming." We're glad to have Joe back safe and sound!

Nils Ericson wanted to let me know that he ran into a shirtless Brian Feldman crooning a rendition of Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name" at a karaoke party in New York City not so long ago. "Brian just graduated from Virginia Law School, is currently studying for the bar and has had an article selected for publication in the Virginia Law Review, which comes out this fall. As for myself, I'm content taking photographs of my dog and working on my M.F.A. in photography at Rhode Island School of Design. Eli Burak just sent me a photograph of his new haircut. He has a civil war 'stache and a mullet. Very handsome. I worked with him at the Ravine Lodge the spring of 2002. He has since moved on, although he decided to stay close to Hanover. He's living in White River Junction and has a respectable job at some company in Lebanon where he has to wear a tie. He also plays a mean banjo these days. Eli just had his motorcycle tuned and seems incredibly happy."

Denise O'Connell was recently engaged to Keith Zorn '98 and will be getting married this September near Boston, and Scott Davis was engaged to Jessica Ahnert (Princeton'00) on December 30, 2002, in Brookline, Massachusetts. Scott and Jessica are planning a May 2004 wedding in Dallas. In addition, Michelle Comeau and Will Schoen are happily engaged, and Michelle will be starting at UCLA law school in the fall, and Will is transferring to Microsoft's L.A. office.

Anna llima Loomis writes: "I got engaged last month to Peter Salomon and we'll be getting married next June. My parents moved over from Oahu this year and the wedding will be at their house in Haiku, which they are currently building. For the past two years I've been working as a newspaper reporter for TheMaui News. Pete does home repair and renovation. We plan to stay on Maui. Also, Rachel Rothbaum will be spending the summer with me on Maui, and I'd like to add a note asking any old friends to look me up if they plan on visiting Hawaii, especially Maui. I'm an excellent tour guide and I love visitors!"

Kelly Fender finished her master's in comparative literature at Dartmouth in June. After the ceremony her boyfriend, Steve McConnell '03, proposed to her on top of Baker Tower. Both will be teaching at Stevens High School and living in their home in Claremont, New Hampshire. They are planning to be married next July in Steve's home town of Kingston, Ontario.

Also, to alleviate any confusion, Windsor Salet (mistakenly characterized as a '02 in another class' column) is engaged to Bo Adams '01. The wedding is set for December of this year, and they will be living in Atlanta while they are both in school for the next few years. Windsor's finally gotten her Southern accent back and is intent on keeping it for awhile!

Congratulations, and keep the updates coming!
