This is the first time in more than 10 years that as secretary of your class that I have not received a letter from you so I have nothing to write about. Maybe that's because there aren't that many of us left. At any rate, please drop me a line and tell me what's new.

So let's turn to football, one of my favorite subjects. Win-loss-wise we had a bad year—last year, one and nine. But we weren't as bad as our record indicated—we lost a few of our games on bad breaks. We had a pretty good defensive team. In the seven Ivy League games Penn was No. 1, giving up 86 points, then Harvard with 97 points and, third, Dartmouth with 119 points. In our last five Ivy League games we gave up one touchdown in each of two games and two touchdowns in each of three games. Our problem was that we couldn't score—only 69 points in our seven Ivy League games. Harvard scored 225 points!

Now with Buddy Teevens '79 as our new coach we have an offensive-minded coach, but he has his work cut out for him with only two starters returning on offense, though seven on defense. Street & Smith's College Football Magazine and Jeff Sagarin have predicted we will finish next to last in the Ivy League with our only victory coming against Columbia. I'm optimistic—I predict 4 and 6.

With sadness we report the death of Franklin "Kip" Everts and send our sympathy to his family.
