Martin Budd '60, a law partner at Day, Berry & Howard LLP in Stamford, Connecticut, was awarded the Daniel R. Ginsberg Humanitarian Award by the Anti-Defamation League of Connecticut for his dedication to leadership in humanitarian causes.

The journal Advances in Accounting lists Chee Chow' 69, Tu'70, as the second most productive research contributor to 40 accounting journals for the past 35 years. Chow, an accountancy professor at San Diego State University, has written more than 100 articles on various areas of accounting.

The Smithsonian Institution has awarded William Fitzhugh '64 its 2003 Distinguished Research Lecture Award. The founder of the Arctic Studies Center at the National Museum of Natural History in the nations capital, Fitzhugh researches Arctic and sub-Arctic anthropology.

Brian Downey '86, a partner who specializes in litigation at Pepper Hamilton LLP, has been named to the CentralPenn Business Journal's Forty Under 40 list for the Harrisburg area.

David Goehring '72 has been named vice president and director of Harvard Business School Press. Goehring is the former head of Perseus Publishing in New York City.

A tiny gold charm in the form of a baby carriage designed by Nicole Landaw '92 played a prominent role in the October 2003 movie in the Cut, starring Meg Ryan and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Landaw designs her own jewelry line in Brooklyn, New York.

Margaret Brower '86 has been named the director of Public Radio International Productions. Brower, who previously worked as a series producer for Twin Cities Public Television, will be responsible for developing talent for such shows as The World and Studio 360.
