Great news! The class of 1980's 25th reunion is a mere 12 months away! We all know that those 12 months will suddenly be six months, and then two and then just a few days away. This will all happen in what will seem like "the blink of an eye." Therefore it is extremely urgent that you find a 2005 calendar and "X" out June 16-19 now.

As you know, Rob Daisley has graciously volunteered to co-chair the event. Did you know that there is, in fact, a "co" to Robs "chair?" This "co" has been working diligently with Rob for the past eight months. Together they are overseeing the planning of our gala reunion. Can you guess who it is? We will be dropping "slick" hints in the upcoming columns and newsletters. If you have a guess, e-mail Rob at rdais@tampabay.rr.com. There may be a prize for the first one to guess who our "co" is.

If you like prizes (and even if you don't), another great opportunity to win a prize is if you submit the best theme idea for our 25th. Be creative, be imaginative, be crazy; e-mail it all to Rob.

Finally, regarding our reunion, Lisa Shanahan Tomlinson (lisahan@msn.com) and Wade Herring (wherring@huntermaclean.com) will be putting together a reunion book. Be on the look-out for a questionnaire. It may arrive in many modes: snail mail, e-mail and Web mail. What- ever method you receive it, please complete it ASAP so that you can be featured in the book of aging 'Bos. Perhaps you will be next to our "co," who may be pictured as a solution book to the Rubik's cube.

News of classmates: Cathy McKinnon made a debut performance on the bagpipes as she marched down sth Avenue in N.Y.C. for the annual St. Patricks Day Parade. Cathy says that bagpipe lessons are her way of handling midlife crisis. Cathy, husband Mike and 4-year- old daughter Elizabeth live in Enfield, Con- necticut.

In December Stacy and her dad Gerald Phillips 47 hosted an evening of "cocktails and conversation" with professor Ron Green (faculty director) and Aine Donovan (executive director) to introduce alumni in the Los Angeles area to Dartmouth's Ethics Across the Curriculum program.Dartmouth Life ran a feature article on EATC in the October 2003 issue. Stacy and her dad were also featured in the October 2003 issue of the American Bar Association Journal (for more on them, see the "Newsmakers" section).

Amy Haak was recently honored as an envi- ronmental hero for her long-term contributions to publiclands conservation.Amyis co-founder of Spatial Dynamics Inc, a company that pro- vides analytical capabilities to nonprofit conser- vation organizations. Amy has worked with the Nez Perce Tribe in Boise, Idaho; she has done mapping from satellite imagery for litigation in New Guinea; and she has worked with watershed assessment in Guatemala. She was highlighted in the 2003-2004 issue of Wilderness.

Tony Taliaferro Jr. was recently promoted to vice president and corporate secretary of Ameri-health New Jersey.

Robert Silberman was featured in the Washington Post in his role as chief executive for Strayer University. The university serves working adults in several cities on the East Coast. Its goal is to expand nationwide. The average age of students at Strayer is 34 years old (young).

One last tip: our "co" does a lot of coaching. Good luck guessing the "co."
