I remind everyone that our class constitution states that widows are full-fledged members of the class. They are to be included in all actions and activities. This will also include our actions to drop inactive names from the mailings of Dartmouth Alumni Magazine. So if these Class Notes and obituaries are of any interest to you, get your dues into John Osborn. The Green Card that was sent out in May was meant to go to only those names that have not had any contact with the class or College in at least the last 10 years. By mistake the card was sent to the entire class mailing list. The funniest return I received from the Green Cards was from Frank Hutchins, who said: "What do you mean you haven't heard from me? I called you about your '04 Alumni Fund gift in December!" And he had.

We had the pleasure of dinner with Howie Germain, who was visiting Ruth and Don Sisson, fraternity brother, from his home in Santa Barbara. To mark the occasion Howie wore a seersucker suit so that he could sing the old song about a "theerthucker thoot," which he sang 60 years ago for the Theta Chi fraternity. Ruth and Howie then sang a verse for us. Hilarious! From Jerry Weinstein we hear that he and wife, Reah, spend winters in Boca West Country Club, Florida, where he continues to play golf five or six times a week, scoring below his age consistently (low of 75). How about that? Barbara White reports that Ted White has been in and out of the hospital and rehabs since November and is working hard to come home. (Late note: After a heroic battle, Ted died June 30.) Vesta Smith and Bob Tirrell are getting exciting ideas for the June 2005 60th 1945 reunion. They will observe the reunions of other classes this June and be guided by those experiences. For this year, 2004, Dick Hinman and Paul Glover have prepared a great mini-reunion in connection with the UNH football game September 24-25. The dinner will be at the Murphy Farm, as it was last year. A good time was had by all, so join us by getting your reservation into Paul Glover at (603) 643-2916. Also do not forget the mini-mini in Punta Gorda, Florida. Finally, we erroneously reported in the last issue, in the obituary on Charles Miller, that his brother, William '51, predeceased him. This is not true—as William tells us—and we regret the error.
