The mini-reunion at the Norwich Inn on the weekend of the Harvard game, October 29-31, attracted 44 persons—class members, wives and guests—for the dinner Saturday night. The executive committee meeting on Friday afternoon was attended by 16 members: Bingham, Chase, Cohn, Hall, Hallager, Harris, Hayes, Hollerith, Lanzillo, McCulloch, Page, Segal, Sistare, Trethaway, Weber and Zuckernick. Among other items considered, the class will support an intern abroad in the Dickey Institute. By agreement, the next mini-reunion will be held in Norwich on October 21-23. At a black-tie dinner in Hanover on December celebrating "Fifty Years ofAlumniAwards," our class recipients were well represented. Onhand were Alan Epstein, Joan and Townes Harris, Dorothy and Walter Peterson and Ursula and Frank Weber. Ham Chase was unable to attend since Dottie had had recent foot surgery. Al and Joan Bildner had already headed south and Bob and May Mortimer were also unable to attend. Also on hand as a recipient of a Young Alumni Service Award was Peggy Epstein Tanner. In November my wife and I joined Bill and Jean Hallager for lunch in Lincoln, New Hampshire. The afternoon was enjoyable.Jean's activity is limited and they were hoping to head south to North Carolina after Christmas.
The sympathy of the class is extended to the families of Daniel Broida, who died on October 20; Dick Hill, who died on October 4; and John Collins, who died on June 14.
Keep in touch.
