From across the pond, I received a charming e-mail from Kris Moller Henley. She writes that last June she "temporarily abandoned the UK, my two daughters and their bewildered father for a long weekend in Manchester, Vermont, and Lisa Colby's wedding to Tom Crawford! It was a glorious, sun-kissed event from start to finish, bringing Lisa's single days to a close with style. Getting lost between the Albany airport and Manchester gave me and Bridget Hust lots of time to catch up (although jet lag may have made my conversation incomprehensible), and we later joined forces with Lisa (now Dr.) Lee and her husband, Neil Rojas. We were a small but enthusiastic Dartmouth contingent, including Lisa's father, Sandy Colby '70, Tu'72. Lisa looked fabulous in her strapless dress and armful of white peonies. Looks like Happily Ever After to me! It was probably my last Dartmouth wedding—bittersweet, beautiful, very American. Back to the land of tea and drizzle."
In other nuptial news, heartfelt congratulations to Caroline Luft, who married Stephen Largay '93 in October. Carrie and Stephen, who didn't know each other at Dartmouth, live in New York City.

As I write this column at the end of December, I have just read this magazines previous cover story about a life gone horribly wrong. It makes me thankful for all the little things, and determined to hug my children a little harder each day. My best wishes to all for a safe and healthy2005.
