Thomas George '40 is being honored for his gift of 37 works to the Princeton University Art Museum with an exhibition through September.The collection covers a wide range of media and techniques and spans 50 years.
Raul Yanes '87 has been appointed senior counselor to U.S. Attorney General Alber-to Gonzales. Yanes previously served as associate counsel to the president, and before that was a partner at the law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell.
Dan Butterworth '68 has earned a Pell Award, which honors artistic excellence in Rhode Island, for his contributions to puppetry. Based in Pascoag, Rhode Island, he has performed with his handcarved marionettes for the last 20 years.
Paul Mott '80, senior director of team marketing and business for the NBA, has been named the new team president of the New Orleans Hornets.
John McPhaul '78 has earned a 2005 Environmental Quality Award from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). A correspondent for Caribbean Business, a weekly Puerto Rico newspaper, his recent articles have covered urban sprawl, waste management and development of alternative energy programs on the island. And Carl Baum '81, director of the Center for Children's Environmental Toxicology at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital, earned the EPAs Children's Environmental Health Award for efforts to protect children from environmental health risks.
Peter Kenyon '80, National Public Radio's Middle. East correspondent based in Cairo, was part of the NPR team that earned a Peabody Award, the highest honor in broadcasting, for coverage of the war in Iraq.
Mark Oldham '99 and his Boston design firm LOO: Lin Oldham Office earned a citation in the 52nd Annual Progressive Architecture Awards for a house he designed on a shrimp farm in Puerto Rico.
