For the few classmates and others who attended our mini-reunion on September 16-17 it was an enjoyable weekend. The Friday night dinner, as last year, was held in a private dining room at the Norwich Inn. The food, chosen from the a la carte menu, was very satisfying, as was the company.
At our class meeting on Saturday morning the following classmates were present: Bill Niss, Ray Builter, Boyce Price, Ross Martindale, Bill Crangle, Morrie Stein and Joe Davis, plus working widows Isabel Pounder and Phyllis present were Jerri Builter, Doris Crangle, Mim McCurda, Betty Price, Allyson Krings (granddaughter of Bill Crangle) and husband Christopher, and Morrie Stein's son Fred. There were two important items that came up at the meeting. First, Ray Builter said that our total resources have diminished, partly due to expenses for the DAM. He suggested an increase of $5 in dues to help put us on firmer ground. Secondly, Bill Niss thought it would be a good idea to have a committee of three to run our 70th reunion next year. All agreed, and Bill appointed Boyce Price, Ray Builter and Isabel Pounder, representing, respectively, Hanover, finances and communication. As soon as we have information on the dates of reunion we will pass it along.
After the meeting and tailgating it was a pleasure to watch Dartmouth beat Colgate. When the game was over those of us who were not heading directly home were invited to join Boyce and Betty Price at their place at Kendal for cocktails and then a light supper at the Kendal Grill. A pleasant end to an enjoyable weekend.
