The executive committee meeting held at the Norwich Inn on October 21 was attended by 18 members. The group agreed to support a program started by the class of 1959, Dartmouth Partners in Community Service. A limited number of interested undergraduates, in an off-term, will be sent to areas to perform community service with an alumnus as a sponsor. The mini-reunion dinner at the Norwich Inn on October 22 was attended by 37 classmates and guests. Ham Chase substituted as chairman for Joe Hayes Joe and Sally were off on a three-week tour of China, which they enjoyed since all arrangements went well: travel, food and the tour guides. Frank Wuerfel has moved to Coronado, California, after closing his consulting business in San Francisco. The Rev. Charles Quinn appreciated the class directory and hopes to be able to contact some of his Navy classmates who actually graduated in 1946. While active in the priesthood he served as a missionary in Pakistan and the Solomon Islands. Kendrick Kelly still lives in Chappaqua, New York. While attending a granddaughters wedding in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, he found that the catering (well done) was courtesy of the firm founded by Bob and Abbie Kirsch.ln July Hugh Chapin visited Bob and Romie Hollerith at their place in Virginia. Hugh continues to work toward the completion of the Galloway Ridge retirement community in North Carolina. In August the Holleriths went on a boat cruise from Moscow to St. Petersburg. Their enjoyment was enhanced by not having to unpack during the cruise. Norm Fink is moving into a condo unit near his present location in Brevard, North Carolina. Dr. John Tower, although confined to a wheelchair as the result of a stroke, continues to enjoy reading and playing bridge.

In long-range plans, chairman Bob Kirsch reminds us of our 60th reunion on June 11-13, 2007. Our 2006 mini-reunion will be held at the Norwich Inn on the weekend of the Holy Cross football game, October 13-15.
