Happy New Year! To begin 2006 in an orderly fashion, the first of this year's columns is organized alphabetically by first name. Any suggestions for innovative ways to set up the column in the last few months of my tenure as class secretary are welcome! (A new secretary will be elected in June at our five-year reunion...any takers?). Here's the news I collect- ed in late December:

Adrian Loehwing reported, "I graduated from Oxford on November 5 in a beautiful Latin ceremony of which I didn't understand a word. I then spent a few months road-tripping around the United States, caught up with Jess Webster and Keely Beck '02 in Boston, and got to look through photos from Nicole Diodato's wedding."

Allison LaFleur wrote, "I will be moving to London in February to open my company's European office...or more accurately, to be the European office. I'd love to hear from any alums who are across the pond!"

Alric Lam said, "I'm probably one of the last '01s to leave campus. I finished up my MEM at Thayer in 2005 and spent the fall playing pong with the '06S-'09S and training the newest class of Sig Eps. Now I'm a project engineer for Hasbro in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Blitz me if you're in the area!"

Aseem Gandhi reported, "After spending the first six months of 2005 in Sydney, Australia, I am in business school at MIT. There are some familiar faces in the first-year class, including Amanda Taplett, and Jon Piskorowski '00 (my roommate)."

Barry Staples announced, "I got married on December 10,2005, to Karon Sasser (Furman University '98) in Montgomery, Alabama."

Chance Hill blitzed, "I returned from deployment aboard the USSNimitz in November. We were in the Persian Gulf supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. Training may prevent my attending the class reunion, but I hope to be there!"

Chris Pandolfi wrote, "I'm living in Nashville, touring with Bering Strait, the Drew Emmitt Band and most recently with my own band, the Stringdusters ( www.thestringdusters.com ). We're working on a record deal and will be touring in 2006."

Elliott Freirich reported, "I have been a certified public accountant working at Blackman Kallick Bartelstein in Chicago for the last three years."

Giulia Good Stefani levelled, "I will be taking a break from Yale Law School to get my tango on! I fly to Argentina at New Years for Clara Veniard's wedding Joining me are Quang Truong (in Yale architecture), Erin Roeder (Yale law), Julia Martiesian (just returned from three years in Armenia) and Rachel Richardson."

Jenny Alden announced, "I'll be shooting The Butterfly Effect 2 up in Vancouver in January."

Jim Noonan wrote, "I am going into my final semester at the Yale School of Drama and producing another 12 shows this spring at the Yale Cabaret, where I am artistic director."

John Raser is graduating from Dartmouth Medical School in June 2006 and has been named a Piscano Scholar by the American Board of Family Physicians.

Kelly Guld reported, "I am a first-year med- ical student at Boston University."

Leslie Russell said, "I moved back to Chicago from Oakland last summer to teach high school at my alma mater, Whitney M. Young Magnet. I'm having a baby shower on January 14 and I am expecting my first baby some time around February 10!"

Margaret Lee announced, "I'm a veterinarian now! I'm at Cornell doing an internship in small animal medicine and surgery. I saw Jennie Lee in the fall, but work and emergency duty are keeping me busy!"

Happy Valentine's Day! Remember to reg- ister for our five-year reunion before the price goes up: www.alum.dartmouth.org/classes/ classoi/reunion.
