George "Fritz" Jewett Jr. '50 of San Francisco has been named to the Americas Cup Hall of Fame for his efforts from 1974 to 2000 to make the U.S. sailing teams competitive.

Ted Spiegel '53, Tu '54, professor emeritus of integrated marketing communications at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, was inducted into the Direct Marketing Association's Hall of Fame in October.

John Osborn '88, president and CEO of advertising agency BBDO New York, has been named a "Young Global Leader" by the World Economic Forum. He will participate in the 2020 Initiative, a project to understand current and future trends and their impact on a global and regional level.

Dr. Henry Binder '57, a professor of cellular and molecular physiology at Yale, earned the American Gastroenterological Association Distinguished Achievement Award for career accomplishments in the treatment of diarrheal diseases.

Fred Schauer'67, Tu'68, the Frank Stanton Professor of the First Amendment at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, has been appointed the George Eastman Professor at Oxford for the 2007-08 academicyear. While there he plans to teach and write about freedom of speech and press, constitutionalism and human rights.

Anne Moellering '89 is the new vice president of U.S. marketing for Planet Out, a leading global media and entertainment company based in San Francisco that serves the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

Charles Cramb Jr. '68, formerly senior vice president and CFO of the Gillette Cos., is the new CFO and executive vice president of finance and technology with Manhattan-based Avon.
