As reported in the Rocky MountainNews, veteran real estate agent Kit Cowperthwaite and his son Scott have entered the crowded Web-based homeowner service provider business with One Stop Wizard.com. Kit, president-elect of the Colorado Association of Realtors and an agent with Distinctive Properties, said he thinks One Stop Wizard's connections with fellow realtors will set it apart from the competition. He and his son quietly launched the site, which received 333,626 hits out of the chute. Kit said he and other realtors are often asked by homeowners for the names of plumbers, contractors, carpenters, roofers, electricians, interior designers and other people for home repairs and improvements. And One Stop Wizard, for less than $10 a month, can help locate these tradespeople.

From the Tampa Bay Jewish Press comes notice of recognition honoring Herb Swarzman for his untiring efforts in cultivating strong and lasting relationships between Israel and the United States. As a Tampa political activist and Jewish community leader, Herb was honored by the Tampa Bay Committee of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Herb has served as a key contact to Congressmen Michael Bilirakis and Jim Davis, and then-Congressman Sam Gibbons, Congresswomen Ginny Brown-Waite and Katherine Harris, then-U.S. Senator Connie Mack and then-Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, all of whom have backed pro-Israel legislation throughout their tenures.
