In order to spare your cloudy little minds the agony of too much reading, the obvious result of yuletide gaiety, I shall keep the column brief this month.

Recent weddings include that of FetePappas and Betty Thompson of Voltaire, N. D. Both Pete and his wife are studying at the Univ. of Wisconsin for Ph.D.'s in organic chemistry. Married in Annisquam, Mass., were Dr. Dave Carter and Anne Babson. Dave went through the Med. School in Hanover, graduated from Harvard Med. School and is now interning at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N. Y. Married in October in a military ceremony in Hawaii were Ist Lt. George Johnson and Linda Culbreth. George, who graduated from West Point in 1959, is now stationed with the 19th Infantry Division in Hawaii.

Engaged we find Frank Blatz and Joan Carroll Potter of New Brunswick, N. J. Frank's now studying law at Harvard. Likewise betrothed are Ken Prouty and Jane Carithers of Wellesley Hills, Mass. Ken's working for the Prudential Insurance Co.

Recently heard from vince Hovanec who, since he made his exit from the Army, is working for the United Press International wire service in Raleigh, N. C. He seems delighted with his job despite it involving much night work; ran into Dave Murphy at recent jazz concert in Raleigh. Murph's in his last year at Univ. of N. C. Law School at Chapel Hill. Thanks much for the note, Vince.

Before we quit, a few remarks of legal interest: Recently successful applicants to various state bars include Jim Sullivan to the Massachusetts Bar, Phil Berke to the New York Bar and Joe Blake and I to the Colorado Bar. Joe, incidentally has left to join Eliot Ness and the boys with the FBI. After training in Quantico, Va., and Wash- ington, D. C., Joe expects to be assigned to the Tampa, Fla., bureau. I expect to enter the Army Judge Advocate General Corps around the first of the year.

Speaking of the Judge Advocate Corps, Larry Kruteck finished his officers' orientation course at Ft. Benning in November and is now attending the Army's Judge Advocate School at Charlottesville, Va. Larry graduated from the Univ. of Va. Law School last year. Finally, we have received word that Al LaBrecque, in his second year at Rutgers Law School, was recently awarded an alumni scholarship at that school.

Just as he used to compete in track, Gigi Principi is running well in the business world. The Packard Electric Division in Warren, Ohio, a division of the General Motors Corp., has announced his appointment to foreman. Returning to his home town in Warren in 1959, Gigi joined Packard Electric as a college graduate in training. Between graduation and the business world, he spent over a year in the Army. Some more good news is that Gigi and Anita are expecting their first child soon.

Hope this suffices for another month. Keep us informed.
