In ourlast Alumni Magazine article we regretfully advised that Em Day had resigned as president of our class because of health reasons. That was true, but things have changed. Someone, and I can guess who, talked Em into changing his mind—so we still have our fine president back with us.

It would appear that our mini-reunion and dinner days are over, as Mary Engleman and Bernice Cohen are the only ones who could make it. I had planned on attending with my son and daughter but my health has not improved fast enough after radiation and a three-week hospital stay.

The football season is here and so are the predictions. Daitmouth is not highly rated and if true, we are in for another dull season. We are picked to finish next to last in the Ivy League. Yale is favored to win it all but closely followed by Princeton. Brown is in last place with Columbia in sixth place. If I had to guess I would figure we could be 3 and 7 and with a break here and there might be 4 and 6. I'm an optimist.
