It's an honor to be back writing for our class, 30 years after being our first class newsletter editor! Many thanks to Michael Carter for his fine efforts the last five years. I look forward to hearing from you and I urge those of you who have not been in contact with the class during the years to reconnect with the class of' 77.

One hundred eighty-two '77s convened in Hanover for our 30th, setting the record for attendance—with spouses and children, our reunion totaled 332. Our class also shattered the record for 30th reunion giving with a total of $2,699,626, representing a participation rate of 53.2 percent. Amy Cammann Cholnoky and Jeffrey McKee deserve credit for this accomplishment.

At our reunion a new slate of class officers was elected. Leslie Embs Bradford is our new class president; Amy Cammann Cholnokyvice president Sandy Wood, treasurer; Jeffrey McKee and Phil Andryc, co-head agents; Pam Gruninger, newsletter editor; Susan Wiley Young, projects; Liz Epstein Kadin,Alumni Council representative; and Eric Nelson, Webmaster.

One of my reunion highlights was singing in the alumni glee club concert with fellow Glee Clubbers and Distractions (now known as the Decibels) Nancy Bird, Betsy Cox, Lindsey Larrabbee Greimann and Jill Shaw Woolworth. Shirley Spence, former Dartmouth Aires A 1 Henning and Mark Adams, David Kassel and Jim Lloyd also joined us back in Spaulding Auditorium singing the alma mater. Speaking of singing, David Torrey led a Beatles sing-along at the family cookout Saturday afternoon. Saturday evening David, Lucy Townsend and Barb Laverdiere were instrumental in transforming the Dartmouth Skiway into an elegant venue for our class dinner, with fabulous food, entertainment, white table linens and real wine glasses—no plastic beer cups! Everyone dressed up for the evening—except for Al Henning and Carol Muller, Eric Donnenfeld and Ken Rosenfield, who ran in late after their "minireunion" hike up Mt. Moosilauke.

Afew classmates traveled from afar to attend. Jim May field traveled from Hawaii with his daughter Jean Rosston attended from Switzerland, where she is the conservator of the Fine Arts Museum in Zurich. Andrea Kormann Lowe and Dede Granzow Simpson both flew in from London. Others attended spur of the moment and arrived in Hanover last minute to participate in the festivities, including Ted Wingate, Brian Deevy, Betsy Fauver Stueber and Eric Witte. The award for bringing the youngest child to Hanover goes to Dan Mahoney who brought his 4-year-old daughter to reunion On the other end of the spectrum Kristin Bjorklund, who designed our reunion logo, brought her dad, Paul '49.

Did you happen to see that recently Money magazine named Hanover No. 2 on its ranking of Top 100 Places to Live? We lost out to No. 1 Middleton, Wisconsin. If you haven't made it back to Hanover in a while, there's no time like the present. But save the dates for our 35th when the great class of 1977 reconvenes in Hanover June 1114, 2012.
