Very ironic that I write these notes shortly aftervisiting our fair alma mater (it was between Christmas and New Year's). Sure enough, I arrived in the evening and spent it with friends. The next morning I woke up, walked out to my friends living room...and looked out the window to see a snowstorm! Somehow it seemed so fitting, and yet so perfect. Later, as I drove along Wheelock past the Hanover Inn and the Hop and with the Green on my left, I could not help but smile. If I had a CD with "Dartmouth Undying" I probably would have put it in.
You can have similar sentimental moments, and only a few months from now! Granted, it is highly unlikely that there will be snow on the ground, in the air, or anywhereexcept maybe behind Thompson Arena—when we convene for our 15th reunion in June. But snow, rain or (I hope) shine, we will convene. June 15-17! Be there!
Not a whole lot of news to report on, so I'll say that I spent a day with Tom Brodie, his wife, Terrie, and their children (Riley and Matt) just before Christmas and it was a great time. The best part was that they called me "Mikemahoney" the whole time, as in "Mikemahoney, come see my toys" and "Mikemahoney, read this book to me" and "Mikemahoney, I want more juice." Ah, children.
Getting back to our classmates, I actually have only one report to make. Vik Sawhney was given some serious props in November when he was among the "Forty Under Forty" featured in Investment Dealers Digest. Vik works for Deutsche Bank. Congratulations, Vik!
