The ice has finally thawed here and I for one am sad to see it go. While not nearly as much fun as snow, it did make me feel a little closer to Dartmouth and Winter Carnival, and it did result in a much appreciated snow day for me.

As per the recent trend, lots of wedding plans to announce this time! Hans Albee got right to the point with his message. "The news: I'm engaged to a wonderful young woman named Jennifer Jackson. She's from Jefferson, Maine, and a 2000 graduate of the High Mowing School in Wilton, NH, as well as a 2004 graduate of Hampshire College. Our wedding is planned for September 2007." Word then came from Kathleen Reeder "I just received the last copy of the alumni magazine and read the class notes... and finally, I have something for the next one! After returning from a long deployment in Iraq, my boyfriend Matt Paley, Berkeley '02, proposed. His contract with the U.S. Army Special Forces (the "Green Berets") ends in June, and we're getting married on August 4th in Denver. After the honeymoon, we're moving to D.C., where he'll be in business school and I'll start working as an associate at a law firm. We couldn't be happier!" I also heard from Michelle Hogan who wrote, "Congratulations to Meagan Morrow and Peter Hanbury who are busy planning their July wedding in Hanover/Quechee! Peter popped the question last summer while the couple was vacationing in Iceland." Finally, Kimberly Siciliano wrote to say she is now engaged to classmate Adam Salem. "He proposed on Valentine's Day (which is also my birthday). We're both very excited! That's pretty much the big news; other than that we have just been living and working in New York City." Many congratulations to all the excited couples and best wishes for a lifetime of happiness!

John Campbell sent another update about his freelance writing hobby. "Just wanted to drop word that when you have the chance, be sure to check out the March/April issue of King Magazine. Page 158 shows the article and snapshots from my game of one-on-one against Richard Jefferson before this year's training camp started. I lost the game and the Nets have yet to offer that 10 day deal. However, I did hit a legit Michael Jordan floater on him. And my eyes were open." It always depresses me when faced with the realization that I'm paying to work and John is getting paid to chill with famous athletes!

Keep the updates coming and keep watching your e-mail for upcoming mini-reunion events.
