I had an interesting letter from Ed Rasmussen, who lives in a retirement home but still manages to walk a mile in 15 minutes before breakfast. He says it makes the food taste good. Ed also writes short stories and fiction as a member of the Long Ridge Writers Group'. And he still does translations from Japanese to English for customers doing research. In short, Ed says keep busy doing whatever you can do and you will have a positive attitude and feel good. He has my second on that.

I also heard from George Rushton, who was a chemistry major. He taught at two colleges and then joined the Cities Service Oil Cos. and ended up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a widower he stays active at the bridge table and doing his own cooking. Ernie Grinnell called to tell me about the death of Runsey Ewing. Ernie has been in the railroad business for years, mostly in the Southwest, and he is known as our class railroad magnate.
