Many of you may have been glued to the Olympics during the summer. We here in Denver were glued to Democratic Party politics and all the excitement that descended on our town. Big happenings here, regardless of your White House choice. Totally riveting to say the least.
Talk about riveting—nothing more so than the latest itty-bitty to join our crew! I am thrilled to announce that Allison Lynn and her husband, Michael Dahlie, welcomed Evan Paul Dahlie on August 12. Evan showed up, Allison said, with a shock of hair and, not surprisingly, a gorgeous, inquisitive stare that made him look like he was already contemplating his future. Given his parents' genes (both Allison and Mike are writers), little Evan has tall orders; I suspect he will be the next Norman Mailer. In addition to growing her boy baby, Allison also grew her third literary baby, another novel that she finished just before Evan showed up. Allison currently lives in New York City, where she has the good fortune of seeing Annie Baker Ruble and Tracie Gunion quite regularly. She also saw Vicky Sadock Gregg (currently living in Austin, Texas, and working as an emergency room pediatrician), Josie Sandler and Annie Sundberg recently at a baby shower. Allison reports all are doing well.
Lara Fetsco Phillip also wrote with news. She and her husband, Lincoln, welcomed Lauren Grace Phillip in August 2003. Lara and her family are living in Rochester, Michigan. Lara is a partner in the litigation department of Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP in Detroit. She is having a ball representing the Detroit Free Press in the pending litigation involving Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.
