The Committee on the Dartmouth College Alumni Fund, of which Fred A. Howland '87 is Chairman, has its annual report in preparation, and promises to put at into the hands of the alumni in the very near future.
The report shows, for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 1916, that $10,170.49 was collected through the regular class agencies, that special class funds produced $1,607.00, making total collections for the year $11,777. 49. Of this sum $4,987.79 was turned over to the trustees of the College to cover the deficit for the year, $500 was voted for the re-establishment of the Tucker Alumni Fellowship for the aid of two promising young alumni to do graduate work with a view to returning to the College for teaching purposes, and the remainder was carried to principal of the Alumni Fund and special class funds which are now classified with it.
The Committee wishes it to be understood that the Fund campaign for the year 1916-1917 is now on. Without any canvassing, contributions have been received to date as follows. Month by month a revised tabulation will be printed in the ALUMNI MAGAZINE.
