Dr. Henry Kelby Gardiner died at his home in Wakefield, R. 1., April 30, 1920.

The son of John and Ellen (Kelby) Gardiner, he was born in Pawtucket, R. I., April 27, 1857. His preparatory education was obtained under private tutors, and he attended medical lectures successively at the University of New York, Bowdoin, and Dartmouth.

After graduation he was for four years connected with the Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, and then practiced at Charlestown, R. I., for two years. In 1888 he removed to Wakefield, which was the seat of his successful practice for the rest of his life. He was a Mason and a communicant of the Episcopal church.

April 27, 1882, Dr. Gardiner was married to Mary Penn Case. There is a surviving son, R. F. Gardiner, but whether other children we are not informed.
