B. B. Greer, operating vice-president of the Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Paul Railway, was recently quoted as saying that the C. M. & St. P. will earn its fixed charges of $21,500,000 this year. Ben looks for a big business the next four months, and feels that they are in a good position and physical condition to handle it. Reduction in operating expenses was effected which offsets substantially the loss in revenue, and will bring the net operating income to compare favorably with last year.
