National Research Fellowships in the Biological Science, Zoology, Botany, Anthropology and Psychology are offered by the National Research Council, Washington, D. C. These fellowships are supported by the Rockefeller Foundation and are administered by a Board appointed by the National Research Council.

The Fellowships are open to citizens of both sexes of the United States and Canada who possess a Ph. D. degree or its equivalent. They are intended primarily for relatively recent graduates and not for those already professionally established.

The basic stipends awarded per annum are $1800 for unmarried fellows and $2300 for married fellows. The fellowships are not granted to any institution or university, but the choice of place to work is left to the fellow, subject to the approval of the Fellowship Board.
