Dartmouth Night was fittingly celebrated in Atlanta, Ga., on October 9 by a meeting of the Southeastern Alumni Association at the Atlanta Biltmore Hotel. The fact that the occasion crept upon us unawares limited the attendance to residents of Atlanta, with one exception, but the gathering made up in honest enthusiasm what it lacked in numbers.
"What has impressed you most about the College in recent years?" was the question put to every man present, and as the discussion swung round the circle some exceedingly interesting reactions came to light. The selective process of admission, the football situation, changes in the physical plant of the Collegeall these and others were discussed at length.
Allan C. Gottschaldt 1918 of Atlanta was re-elected president of the Association. Kenneth K. Stowell 1916 was chosen to succeed Joel G. Harris 1915 as secretary-treasurer.
It was decided to continue the regular luncheon meetings of the alumni in Atlanta, and visiting "grads" are invited to drop in at the Ansley on the first and third Fridays of each month. Attendance at luncheons for the past six months has averaged over 90% of the men living in the city.
Among those present at the Dartmouth Night banquet in Atlanta were: Rev. Martin L. Stimson '7B; President Myron W. Adams '81; Howard W. Hall '01; Frank S. Per ham 'O3; Robert G. Wright 'O6; Joel G. Harris 'IS; F. P. Lowe 'IS; K. K. Stowell 'l6; A. V. Gustafson '18; Allan C. Gottschaldt '18; Louis H. Rector 'l9: Eli Smith '2l; and Ralph Reed '22.
