In an exhibition meet of the Women's Swimming Association of New York in the Spaulding Pool on April 18, Miss Agnes Geraghty set a new world's record of 1 minute 32 seconds for the 100 meter breast stroke, better by one and two-fifths seconds than the former mark held by Miss Doris Hart of England. Miss Ethel McGary also succesfully lowered one existing record when she negotiated the 300 yard free style in 3 minutes 57 1-5 seconds, some better than an earlier attempt of hers this year which in turn was better than the officially listed record of 3 minutes 58 2-5 seconds.

Exhibitions of tandem swimming by groups of two, three and seven swimmers and of diving by Helen Meany, Aileen Riggin and Helen Wainwright rounded out the evening's program.
